Inspired by their favorite fermented food, and specifically by the Kimchi made at Ernies Cafe in Friday Harbor. San Juan Island Sea Salt aimed to evoke the amazingly unique flavors of kimchi, and came out with their most addictive product yet. You can eat this stuff right out of the jar, or sprinkle it on rice, vegetables, scrambled eggs and avocados.

From May to September, Brady and his team gather seawater from the shores of San Juan Island in the Pacific Northwest. At their farm, this water is filtered and brought to their evaporation houses. Under the summer sun, the water evaporates and leaves behind their signature salt, into which the briny flavor of the sea is locked.

Ingredients: Sea salt, gochugaru pepper, vinegar powder, garlic, ginger, carrot, onion, organic rice powder.
