Monkey's Tail Cactus
Scientific name: Cleistocactus winterii
This is an artistic representation of the monkey's tail cactus. This is a unique and attractive trailing cactus, getting its name from its long, fuzzy, soft-spined stems. It is endemic to Bolivia, and somewhat more tropical and fast-growing than other cacti. When it is happy, it will reward you with bright reddish flowers.
We have several smaller 4" and a large 6" hanging plants. This listing is for in-store pickup only—we do not ship any plants! We recommend you come by the shop to check out these special cacti.
Rarity: Uncommon
Light: Bright light, but not overly harsh. Eastern or southern exposure will work well, but full west may scorch the plant.
Water: Water when soil is thoroughly dry. Water more frequently in the summer when it is growing, and cut back watering through the winter.
